Chef's story
"It all started over 20 years ago when I was looking through some items left to me by a family member who had passed on. I found seeds. A lot of seeds. Seeds collected from all over Africa with the dates and areas collected. I was shocked and excited to see that the original plants had been collected in 1940’s to 1950’s. Excited because I knew that these strains have since disappeared from the continent and most likely the world.
I already was interested in the plant but because I was still at school it was not something I could dedicate any decent amount of time to. As time went by the seeds were planted. I studied the plant's genetics. In keeping with my relatives vision of keeping them as pure as they were found, I started collecting pollen and selecting the very best plants for open breeding. It was a few years later when sampling some of the flowers I had cultivated that I discovered its positive effect on Tourette Syndrome, which I had been diagnosed with many years before.
This plant has so much potential in many applications at present."
